Queer Silent Reading Hangout

Queer book lovers unite! Rainbow Lapis Press is organising its trademark Queer Silent Reading Hangout on a Friday night.

Bring along a book you have been procrastinating on, or feel free to grab one of our carefully curated queer titles, pair it with a cup of tea (we have both caffeinated and non-caffeinated options), and sit with like-minded people to read quietly for an hour.

In the second hour, feel free to make a move or hang around to discuss what you’ve read in an informal chat.

Held at Proud Spaces, a safe and welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community & its allies in Singapore, we request that all readers will adhere by their Code of Conduct.

Pink Eden Lunch(Calling for 1 lady)

Join us for a delightful afternoon of floral elegance at GIG cafe for a Pink Eden Lunch event. Step into a whimsical world adorned with shades of pink and delicate blooms, where every detail is crafted to enchant the senses.

Indulge in a sumptuous 2-course meal paired with a refreshing beverage, all infused with the spirit of floral inspiration.

Also, after how well received our previous event was, we are back with another event involving our exclusive ‘dine with your most compatible other half’ element, where our Dating cupids will personally match you with the opposite gender most compatible to you (Through a compatibility form).

You’ll enjoy the first 30 minutes of dining with your ‘Most compatible other half’ before proceeding to the 1-1 rotations.

We’re a no frills writing club, catered to those who just wanna sit down and write for one hour straight.

Rainbow Lapis Writing Club is an inclusive writing club open to all genders, orientations, identities and genres.

You can write fiction, non-fiction, poetry, journal entries, love letters, rants, articles, blog posts, and more.

Bring your own paper, Muji notebook, laptop, tablet, or preferred writing instrument. If you’ve got none, we will provide some lined foolscap paper or blank A4 paper and some pens for you to scribble with.

Full Moon Letter-Writing & Releasing

Tired of holding on to negative energy from your ex, your enemy, or your toxic family member or colleague?

Well, come along for this full moon letter writing and releasing workshop where we will release all that negativity onto paper in writing, and not hold on to it any longer.

There will be a short introduction and demonstration at the beginning.

Blank paper and lined paper will be provided, together with pencils or pens. But feel free to bring your own preferred paper and writing instruments too.

We will set an intention to write out and write away all the hurt and pain.

At the end you will be provided with an envelope to seal the letter in to bring back. Feel free to burn it (in a responsible manner), or throw it in the bin.
