Siao Char Bors presents Steph Chan in Gold Star Bisexual
Join the founder Siao Char Bors Comedy, Steph Chan, in the second restaging of her (almost) sold-out comedy special of 2023, Gold Star Bisexual! The first openly bisexual comedian on the Singapore scene, Steph will bring you on a journey of her life, her loves, and what it means to be a Gold Star Bisexual. It’s a show about figuring out who you are at 11, and then spending the next few decades trying to get people to believe it. It’s about how trying to be normal can backfire in the wildest of ways. Or maybe it’s a story about never making up your mind. Either way, it’s a party and everyone’s invited. Expect quality jokes, messed up stories, bisexual puns and a sprinkling of Singapore queer history.
Steph Chan (SG)
Steph Chan has been performing stand up since 2015 and is the host of Siao Char Bors Comedy, a monthly show which highlights women & queer comedians from Singapore and around the world. Steph was the first runner-up in Singapore’s first-ever roast tournament in 2019 and has been described as “anecdotal and raunchy” (Bakchormee Boy) and “please stop embarrassing us” (her younger sister). Steph’s ten years in stand up have seen her perform everywhere from Bangkok to New Orleans, from ice cream parlours to the National Gallery.

WEN-YI LEE
Wen-yi Lee is a speculative writer and Clarion West Workshop alum whose short fiction has appeared in venues like Lightspeed, Uncanny, and Strange Horizons, as well as in various anthologies. She likes writing about girls with bite, feral nature, and ghosts. Her debut novel The Dark We Know is forthcoming from Gillian Flynn Books in August 2024.
PAUL R KOHN
Paul R Kohn is a writer of poetry and short stories, performer of spoken word, and creator of music and lyrics. Residing in South Australia, he’s featured at local and national events, sharing words from his debut poetry collection, ‘Soul Refraction’ (Dragonfly Publishing). His words have also been published in a number of national and international anthologies, both online and in print. Paul writes as a way of processing, understanding, healing and growing, and shares his written and spoken word poetry all over Australia and the world in the hope that it helps others too.

ARIANNA POZZUOLI
Arianna Pozzuoli is from Toronto, but has called Singapore her home since 2009. She is an educator, author, performer, poet and nacho enthusiast.
ANGELA KONG
Angela Kong is an award-winning poet, photographer, and budding playwright. Her work has been featured in Button Poetry, The Rumpus, Rotary International, amongst others. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she spent her early 20s living in Beijing and Shanghai, and is now acquainting herself with her Singaporean roots. She writes about Asian diasporic identity and life’s idiosyncrasies. You can find her on IG at ak_artventures.
