Facilitator Biography
Meet Kyle Neo, a queer Buddhist and thoughtful observer of life who has navigated the journey from a pre-internet world to the frenetic pace of modern technology. In his mid-40s, Kyle embraces the aging process with grace, using his experiences to enrich his writing and design work. As a passionate advocate for social issues viewed through a Buddhist lens, he strives to spark meaningful conversations around identity, spirituality, and community dynamics.
As the founder of Rainbodhi Singapore, Kyle creates inclusive spaces where diverse voices can flourish and connect. Through his creativity and insights, he invites others to explore the intersection of culture, faith, and personal truth, encouraging growth and understanding in an ever-evolving world.
Meet Sofia, an aspiring queer gerontology practitioner in the aging community in Singapore with deep passion in enhancing quality of life for the older adults. As a member of the queer community, she is committed to advocating for inclusive and supportive care that recognizes and respects the diverse identities and experiences of our elderly population.
Her journey in gerontology is driven by a desire to bridge gaps in care and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or identity, can enjoy their later years with dignity and joy in their own homes.
To better grasp the experiences of young seniors and the elderly in Singapore, Nigel actively volunteers in life transition workshops and community initiatives, as well as guided autobiographical writing exercises and charity assessments.
