OOLOI presented by Shawna Wu and Wildblur – JAN-20
OOLOI presented by Shawna Wu and Wildblur: drawn from the Xenogenesis series by Octavia Butler with themes of interspecies love, otherness, connectivity, and transgressive intimacy. Shawna Wu is a Taiwanese artist based in NYC whose work holds both traditional and radical. Fresh off an SSENSE exclusive capsule launch, Shawna Wu presents a celebratory runway show and rave featuring local models, dancers, and queer DJs from across Southeast Asia.
Together with lighting collective Wildblur, OOLOI creates a space for radical beauty, sensuality, and interweaving. The event serves as a celebration for queerness and sensuality in all its hybrid forms, textures, and illuminations.
Doors – 9pm • Runway – 1030pm
Shawna Wu is currently stocked at Cafe Forgot x Nordstrom as well as SSENSE with an exclusive capsule collection. Her work has been featured in VOGUE and Playboy and worn by figures like Tinashe, Teyana Taylor, Summer Walker, Lily-Rose Depp, Charli XCX at the 2021 VMAs, Eartheater, and Lil Miquela. Her signature butterfly knot harness is collected by the Asian Civilisations Museum (Singapore).
Playing with the shifting translucency and opacity of the dancefloor, WILDBLUR is a lighthouse/study group weaving light with the rhythms/waves of sound and flesh; a melodic percussion for the eyes, an organ to jam straight time. They are best known for providing illumination and percussive lighting for Brooklyn’s queer and trans underground raves including the monthly hyperpop party sksksk and the annual queer festival Honcho Campout.
DJs and Performers
Born in an isolated community of Borneo Island in 1993 Wanton Witch is a DJ and producer with a hyper-sensitive connection and approach to sound through performance. Coming of age in the relative isolation of island life, it wasn’t until relocating to Bangkok that she was able to access the different communities of musical genres that she would later travel between. With an early taste for trap and hip hop, she began working in the deconstructed club and techno scene where she found her musical voice, beginning her DJ career in 2018. Wanton is also a cofounder and original member of Queer underground creative collective ‘Non Non Non’ that has become a Bangkok nightlife staple.
Part of the Asian diasporic scene, rEmPiT g0dDe$$ moves between worlds as easily as she slips between her two experimental electronic music projects, VIKTORIA and rEmPiT g0dDe$$. Spending her time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, the producer, composer and DJ boldly ventures into the farthest, darkest recesses industrial club, whipping up missives from the underground. Ever restless, she also works as music editor of the Magazine for Young Girls, an independent title highlighting female talents from Asia and diaspora communities around the world, and hosts a bi-monthly radio show featuring Asian female musical artists from around the world.
Tikkoii is a Bali-based DJ blessing your ears with bass, experimental, club, and sometimes happy hardcore. She is the founder of KUNTI KLUB, queer collective event in Bali.
soyf§g is the dj moniker of visual artist Aki Hassan. They aim to play anything hard to get your hearts pumping. They appear on Clyde Built Radio bi-monthly, where they play banging tunes & share personal queer trans encounters in their life. They are a resident DJ and co-organiser in Bussy Temple, a queer party collective based in Singapore.

He is a current member of the multidisciplinary collective, @pure.ever and has visual art practice at @rifqi.amirul.
Based between Shanghai and Singapore, Fabricant Fang is a DJ who’s known for their eclectic blend of pop, gabber, IDM and deep cuts. Always committed to creating the most diverse, genre-defying experiences with speed, intensity and violence of action.
