ALEX WILCOX
(Berlin)

Alex Wilcox burst onto the scene when Anetha dis-covered his sizzling banger “Sleep Paralysis” which led to his Mama Told Ya EP titled – “It’s Okay to Cry.” As reviewed by Resident Advisor, this “oddball” tech-no release was quickly played by Nina Kraviz, Ellen Al-lien, Mama Snake, Francois X, and countless others.

The release caught the attention of label heads around the world, eventually leading to his recent EPs “BANG BANG BANG!” released on Bjarki’s bbbbbb records, “123” re-leased on Ellen Allien’s UFO inc and «Always» on Nina Kraviz’s label Trip Recordings. These EP’s expand on Alex’s deep and multi-faceted musical background – show-casing surgical, banging, hooky techno with clever and unexpected song progressions that push boundaries and are being played by SPFDJ, Bjarki, Richie Hawtin, Patrick Mason, Anetha, Salome, AADJA, UR TRAX, Anfisa Letya-go, Justin Jay, and many more.

Alex has played at RSO (Berlin), Electrobeach (Port Ba-cares), Abyss (Shanghai), Nexus (Paris), Steppe Arena (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia), The Ground (Miami), PAL (Ham-burg), and countless other cities in the past year.

His sets feature only his own productions and can be des-cribed as a genre-less chaotic whirlwind involving hard cuts, numerous BPM changes and existential theatrical moments.

MISTER WILLIS
(Berlin)

His unique approach and deep-rooted connection to the music make Mister Willis a name to watch in underground music.

Throughout 2023, Mister Willis has shared the stage with luminaries of the electronic music world, including memorable sets with artists such as Tasha and Josey Rebelle at Neighbourhood in Fold, the renowned Genau party in Turin alongside Blasha & Allatt, and a standout performance at Spectrum Waves with The Lady Machine in Paris.

Hailing from the UK and currently based in Berlin, he has earned a revered status within the city’s electronic music scene. With performances at iconic Berlin venues like Watergate, the labyrinthine playgrounds of Sisyphos & Renate, not forgetting a noteworthy debut at Tresor for New Faces, he’s become a solid fixture in Berlin’s underground.

Mister Willis is celebrated for his impeccable vinyl blends, reflecting a profound understanding of the dance-floor. His selection process is a journey, ensuring seamless flow, whilst crowd reading, with a striking sound versatility, characterised with fierce selection whether playing house or techno.

(Singapore)

Nydthakid (they/she) is an image maker by day and DJ by night. their sonic world journeys through cosmic disco, electronic dance athems, and cunty techno. they are driven by the desire for queer joy, camaraderie, and healing on sweaty dance floors.

HOWRØNG
(Singapore)

Howrøng is a project that started in Berlin, influenced by the same intense energy that inspired them when they were living in Berlin’s underground techno music scene, hearing sets from the likes of Raven, Chlär and CEM.

As a resident DJ and member of queer collective ‘Bussy Temple’, howrøng aims to create safe rave spaces for queer folk in Singapore with their music. Their style can be described as a journey through hard groove, techno and deconstructed club, with many selections from their favourite labels Mord Records, Mutual Rytm and BCCO, also including music from local artists in south east asia such as Tzusing, Xhin, rEmPiT g0dDe$$ and Gabber Modus Operandi. In Singapore they have played at techno events organized by Thugshop, at Tuff Club, MDLR, and also for local underground techno collective MODAL, frequenting queer techno event series MISS HOMO and XOXO. They have also played internationally at techno and underground venues across south east asia such as under9 in Malaysia, Arcan in Vietnam and Red Room in Myanmar.

Expect an exploration of queer identity through gritty sounds with hard kicks and deep-cutting beats, and the occasional queer pop banger.
